well first thing that come to mind is he didnt kill himself someone put him there. if there is no way he can get up there himself either someone help him up or he was put up there by someone. murder.

If he is in a desert,the sand level will rise and fall with the wind.
Sometimes the sand level could be high enough for the man to get onto the building. Then the sand level goes down.......the man then falls off the building and is caught on a hook that is sticking out .

He's in Dubai in a small bed sit, he hung himself on the back of the door without the air con on cos his cheap digs didn't have it. He's staring at the huge metropolis of large hotel (classed as in desert) gutted he couldn't even afford to top himself in a stylish place.
