how much weight can a four-month-old usually bear on his/her legs?
Can they hold just a little weight while you're holding them, but you can't let go or they fall?
If you place them in a standing pose, can they hold their full weight but still need you to steady them?
Can they stand on their own while hanging onto something, like a chair, if you put him/her in a standing posture next to such an object?
Can they hold your hands and, using their own strength, pull themselves into a stand that way?

My Godson was putting full weight on his legs being held upright at 4 weeks old- but the kid's a beast! At about 10 months old his mom put him up to a chin up bar- the kid grabbed on and held his whole weight for like 5 whole seconds!

I haven't seen any 4 months old pull to a stand or even be able to stand holding on to something...
My kids could put their own weight on their legs at that age, but they had no balance at all, so you still had to hold them up. Two of my three kids could sit unassisted for several seconds starting at 4 1/2 months, but it takes a lot of balance to stand.

I've never seen a 4-month-old pull themselves to standing or be able to stand while holding on to something themselves. Their legs may be strong at that age, but their arms are not, and they don't have much balance or coordination at all.
At 8 months my son was standing on his own. He started walking a week before he turned 9 months old.
